New school year brings new beginnings...

This is the first of our blog entries.  If you have a question you want answered, an idea you want us to delve into or just a comment one of our therapists made that you would like us to expand on, please let us know and we will happily write about it here.

We are excited to welcome our clients and their families back to Kids In Sync as we embark on the 2017/18 school year.  The new school year always brings with it a mix of emotions from excitement to trepidation.  Change can bring on anxiety and it can also bring much needed growth.  As you and your child approach this next school year consider taking some time to reflect on the journey thus far.  When we think about all the places we would like to go, and all the accomplishments we hope to achieve, we can forget where we are coming from.  Reflection helps to keep the present moment in perspective and can help us appreciate the now.  Yes, "staying present" is a popular catch phrase right now, but only because it really does work!  When we welcome the present moment we can let go of the stress and worry about what may come and all that is out of our control.
